DHPP (4-in-1)


This is given at 6 to 8 weeks of age, then every 3 to 4 weeks until 16 weeks of age.  It is boosted a year later, then every 3 years. 

  • Distemper virus is usually fatal, causing vomiting, diarrhea, pneumonia and nerve damage. 
  • Hepatitis virus is one cause of liver disease, and can be fatal. 
  • Parvo virus causes bloody vomiting and diarrhea and also is often fatal. 
  • Parainfluenza virus is one cause of upper respiratory disease. 

This vaccine is often given with the leptospirosis in it: then is called the DHLPP vaccine
